Tau Omega Brothers Honored for Decades of Service

The 2025 Leadership Retreat in Detroit, MI, was a moment of pride for Tau Omega Chapter as two of our distinguished Brothers were honored for their decades of dedication and service to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Bro. Sean Young (Tau Omega, Spring 2000; Former Basileus) received his 25 Years of Service Award, marking a quarter-century of unwavering commitment to the ideals of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Bro. Young’s leadership as Basileus was marked by growth in chapter programs and deeper engagement with the Greensboro community, leaving a legacy that continues to benefit the chapter today.

Bro. R. Steven Bowden (Tau Omega, Spring 1985; Former Basileus) received his 40 Years of Service Award, celebrating four decades of distinguished service to the fraternity. In addition to his leadership within Tau Omega, Bro. Bowden served at the highest levels of Omega Psi Phi as Grand Counselor, providing legal counsel and guidance to the Grand Basileus and the Supreme Council. His career and service exemplify the fraternity’s highest ideals, and his contributions have left an enduring impact on the chapter, the Sixth District, and the fraternity at large.

Tau Omega proudly salutes Brothers Young and Bowden for their lifelong commitment to Omega and for modeling the sustained leadership and service that strengthen our Brotherhood across generations.

Friendship is Essential to the Soul.
